Shelburne to Burlington and then North Beach Park

<Daniele> Crazy dream tonight: I'm wearing beautiful shoes and I'm walking in the mud.

5:30 am: Allan does office work.

7h00: It is always a surprise to discover the bay in the early morning. If the wind changed direction during the night, the boats turned to face him and what was in front sometimes ends up behind or on the side. But this morning, there is not a bit of wind and all the boats were pointing in different directions.

8:00 am: We motored to Shelburne Shipyard and an assistant mechanic from Shelburne Ship Yard is on board to look at the transmission.  He has never seen such a linkage on our transmission and videos the linkage and sends it to his boss. In the end, he adjusts the transmission linkage like I did with Norm a couple of days ago, but more aggressively.

9h30: We take off to the city.

10h30: We take a mooring ball outside Burlington harbour.

The first official route in dinghy goes very well. Wow this electric motor is super quiet and in calm winds, it performs very well.

We walked to the authorities for the mooring to report in but they tell us that we don't have to report in unless we stay after 18:00 when they come and collect the mooring fees. In Burlington, the anchorage is free during the day ... chic!

We take a free tourist bus and take a short city tour past Vermont University. Beautiful red brick buildings in New England style.

Then we go shopping on Church Street. We drink a really good lemonade - very refreshing. Allan is very patient as Daniele visits several shops, She finds a nice little dress at LLBean.

We then had lunch at El Gato Restaurant: Good Mexican meal with a large glass of water.

15:30: Anchored in front of North Beach.

<Daniele> Sitting in the cockpit, I observe the changing landscape. The lake, a blue-gray mirror under a dense sky, the horizon barely visible and the mountains in the distance ... disappeared.

We will have a storm tonight.
