8:00 am: Emptying the engine sump of 4 bottles of 2 litres each.
9:25 am: There were some issues with the propeller. It was not opening. After shifting it back and forward, it worked better. Must have been weeds. So we thought.
10:45: We pass under the bridge of Beloeil, it is a little stressful, the passage is at the north end and is very narrow. Luckily there were not any other boats crossing from the other way because they would have had priority. An imposing concrete structure with mooring bins is located to the left of the passage.
Question: This bridge seems to me to have been in a previous life, a swing bridge. To check.
As we approached Chambly Basin, we went towards the first Chambly lock. The lockmaster calls us to ask if we intended to go through the locks. Since they were ready for us, we decided to go through without resting.

We went in behind a 50-foot power boat. They then put in another 33-foot power boat behind us. It was tight, very tight.
Near the end of Ile Sainte Theresse the propeller was acting up very badly. It would not always open. We were delayed by a bridge I and kept pushing the engine to open the propeller. Sometimes it worked sometimes it caused a racket like it was out of balance.
After about 7 locks they separated us and let the 50-foot boat go ahead and we stayed with the 33-foot boat. We were relieved.
As we were leaving the Chambly Canal, we could not go faster than 2.2 knots. Anything more caused violent noise and vibration.

With Bellum firmly tied to the dock, Allan dives and rids the propeller of the algae that had clung to it. We do tests: forward-backward, forward-backward, we try to film propeller underwater with the Go-Pro, but the mystery remains intact. The videos were not clear enough to determine anything.

Relaxing evening, nature offers us a show of light. There is electricity in the air. Kaloni sees my post on Facebook and drops in to visit us with her little boy, Jax. Everything on the boat fascinates him.
9:30 am It's time to go to bed.
