Delayed departure

Captain for Hire
Our planned departure was Friday, June 30 with a goal to see the Canada Day fireworks.  Daniele's tendonitis on her wrist delayed the start.  By Tuesday she was recovering and we drafted Norm to help us through the big locks.

We left at 2PM and passed the St. Catherine Lock at 15:30 after having a collision with Jonathan, a 30-foot sailboat. We had departed behind her on the service dock and the Johnathan decided to reverse into our mast slightly bending the weather vane support.

We marvelled at the soon-to-be
 completed new Champlain Bridge.

18h00 Lock St-Lambert, repair of the support of the vane and lock without problems.

7:10 pm: Let's make a short stop at the Pleasure Sailing Club and bid farewell to our valiant knight Norm who has lent us a hand so far.

On the way, and place to the show! We are witnessing the very special dance of two tugs positioning the BBC Chartering in its anchoring manoeuvre and Horizon Aphrodite, the jealous,
who side garden makes his inviting number Claude A. Desgagnés, this great loner, following her not
far behind.

8:30 pm: We are anchored in front of the current near the Îlot Vert after having travelled 31 miles in 6 hours.

On the menu: hamburgers, potato chips and cold beer. Bathing and sleeping.
