Arnold Bay

9:00 am Breakfast while observing the local fishermen.

The two deep-cycle house batteries bought at Gosselin second years earlier are not holding a charge as well as they should. It is best to drive for a few hours a day to keep them alive.

South winds - variable

Finally, Ticonderoga will be the southernmost point of this trip. There is still forecast for a few days with rain and thunderstorms.

But, Allan can now say that he will have made the three "

T's": Toronto, Tadoussac, and Ticonderoga!   a.k.a. Jon Marc Longworth.

13:00 We raise the anchor.

The wind is too weak we will drive for one hour before unrolling the genoa. What a joy to be able to trust a transmission that works well, a big stress and less!

Oh yes, I forgot. Two birds, two large birds with brown underside wings flew over Bellum during our departure maneuvers. I am almost certain that they are the same raptors that fly at high altitude and that we see regularly in the countryside. But this is the first time I can observe them so closely and I have the clear impression that this is a mother with her young. It describes large circles in gliding flight that imitates its offspring perfectly. If she inadvertently walks a little too far away from him, he begins to call her. A single cry is enough to bring the two birds together.

5:45 pm Arnold Bay, is a pretty little bay that offers wind protection from the south, southeast. On the other hand, there is a lot of seaweed hanging on the anchor. Good swim, we needed it badly. It was so hot during the trip that we were repeatedly sent a bucket of water.

8:00 pm Supper - Pork chops, rice, and salad accompanied by a very good Argentinean Malbec

Very calm night again!
