Day at Pelots Bay

7:30 am Wake up at Pelots Bay

Allan is still sleeping and Daniele takes this opportunity to update her logbook of the stories of our adventures.

An unpleasant odour invaded her nostrils again. This smell appeared a few days ago, at first sneaky it grew in the heat and became unbearable. We have tried to find the source but have not yet managed to discover it.

8:30 am: Cleaning of the hold. Spray-Nine and toothbrush.

11:30 am: Cleaning finished

12:00 pm Lunch Eggs, bacon and tea.

It is now 4:49 pm, and her La Presse on her iPad is finally up to date!

Meanwhile, Allan took the opportunity to inflate the dinghy and install the electric motor and then do some trials with the new toy.

Then installed a new water temperature transducer we got from Border Mail to replace the broken one.

Daniele encourages me to replace the old 35 AMP alternator with a new 55 AMP one now that we got a new bracket from Border Mail.  It fits and works just fine.

6:00 pm: Earlier this afternoon, a beautiful Bénéteau First was caught at the entrance to the bay. Some good Samaritans in their dinghy came to his aid, but we did not see anything, we were in the boat. They cast an anchor at the stern of the boat hoping it digs in and they can use it to get out of there. Then successful mission, the boat is finally released after about three hours. The entrance to the bay is a little difficult to negotiate and we must be wary because no buoy informs us of the danger. Daniele was very aware of the hazard.

Second episode

The smell is still present but less intense ... it's like a smell of rotting animal. Allan, however, condemned the cooler's drain pipe leading to the bilge and replaced it with a brand new hose that now pours into an old wine bottle instead of into the bilge.

This rest day in Pelots Bay did me the greatest good!

19:40: At the table !!

Allan is at the BBQ on the menu: grilled zucchini, wrapped in rosemary bells and swordfish with herbs from Provence.

The sky is stung with thousand stars tonight!
